Proper maintenance of your Schwank Grill ensures optimal performance and longevity. Follow the guidelines below to keep your grill in great condition.
Interior Cleaning
You can clean the inside of the grill similarly to the grill grate, but do not touch the burners, igniters, or wires.
The burners are self-cleaning. Simply turn on the grill and let the burners run for 5–10 minutes to burn off any grease build-up.
Grill Grate Cleaning
The grill grate is made of high-grade stainless steel and operates at extremely high temperatures (up to 1500°F). Discoloration and staining are normal.
Use grill grate cleaner along with a stainless steel scrubber to remove grease and food residue.
Removing grease buildup is sufficient for safe and effective use.
Recommended Cleaning Products
Stainless Steel Scrubber
Best Scrubber to clean the grill grate. Do not use this on the external part of the grill because it will scratch it. If you really work hard you can get the grill grate looking brand new with these scrubbers but it takes a lot of work.
Note: Do not use this scrubber on the exterior of the grill, as it may cause scratching.
Goo-Gone Cleaner
Best to clean the outside of the grill and the grill grate, use a lint-free microfiber cloth for the outside of the grill and the stainless steel scrubber listed above for the grill grate, grill shelf, and drip tray.
Use a lint-free microfiber cloth on the exterior and a stainless steel scrubber for internal components.
All internal parts are removable and dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning.
