Grill Will Not Ignite
· If propane grill, make sure that you have plenty of gas in your propane tank and the valve is fully open.
· Make sure that there is no wind blowing toward the face of the grill which will blow out the spark & make the thermocouple too hot so it won’t ignite.
· Make sure there's no gas leak. Perform a leak test. To determine if there is a leak at the hose connection by spraying soapy water on the hose connection & turn on the gas slowly. If it bubbles then there is a leak, try tightening it just a hair more until the bubbles stop.
· Make sure when you hooked up the gas hose to the back of the grill that you did not overtighten it. It does not need to be fully tight. You should only turn 1/8 of an inch with a wrench after you hand tighten the hose to it. If you overtighten it this will cause the gas line inside to twist and crack and sometimes even break off causing a gas leak therefore the grill wouldn't have enough gas supply to ignite. You can check this by looking through the vent slots at the top to see if the gas pipe got twisted. Is it twisted?
· With the gas turned off press and hold the igniter button and make sure it’s making a clicking sound. Do you hear clicking sound?
o If no clicking sound, when pressing the igniter push button. Make sure that you have a new battery & that it’s installed the correct way. The positive side of the battery should be facing you. Also make sure the spring is installed inside the black button & has not come lose or fallen out.
· Check the gas hose for any blockages, trash or dirt that may have gotten in it as well as the connection on the back of the grill. If it has ever been disconnected something could have got in there blocking the flow of gas.
o If there is a blockage in the hose, you can blow air through it to clear the dirt and blockage.
· While holding down the gas knob turn it directly to the flame position press the igniter button. You should hear clicking/ticking sound. Look to see if the sparkers inside the grill on the left & right are sparking. Are they?
· If the grill has been used before, check for grease buildup on the spark igniters and the thermocouple to see if there is any grease built up. They need to be clean for the grill to ignite properly. Are they clean?
o If the thermocouple or sparkers have grease built on it, please clean it off. You can clean it off by using a rag with some hot water and spraying it with stainless steel cleaner or degreaser and wiping it off as best you can.
· Turn the gas knob directly to the flame position and press down on the knob to make sure you can hear gas flow. You can place your ear close to the knob as you press to see if you hear the gas flow sound. Do you hear the gas flow?
· While standing off to the left side of the grill away from the opening, push and hold down on the gas knob for 30 seconds (or even up to a minute) to allow the gas to build up in the chamber. Make sure the knob is pointing directly to the flame position (not passed or before it). Then press the igniter button & hold it until it ignites.
· If the grill still does not light, try lighting with a long BBQ lighter. If the grill lights with the BBQ lighter & not by the igniter, then the issue must be with the spark generator box inside the grill that connects to the push button igniter.

· If you press down & turn the gas knob halfway the grill will ignite but will not stay on when released. Make sure while pressing down you turn it directly to the flame position (not passed or before it). Then press the igniter button until it ignites to see if that makes a difference.
o You can also try holding down the gas knob for at least 30 seconds after the grill lights to see if that makes a difference in keeping it ignited.

Grill Shuts Off after Extended Use-
· Confirm that your propane tank is not running low and that valve is completely open.
· Check for grease or food contact on the safety shut off sensor or thermocouple. The safety shut off sensor may be preventing grill from staying lit. If food has touched the safety shut off sensor or if grease has accumulated around the thermocouple, it can cause the grill to acquire too much heat and extinguish the flame.
o Clean the thermocouple and the area around it thoroughly. You can clean it off by using a rag with some hot water and spraying it with stainless steel cleaner or degreaser and wiping it off as best you can.
· Check to see if the burners inside are caked with grease. This may cause the burners not to ignite properly. Too much grease splatter can clog the burner which stifles the gas flow. You can let it burn the grease off for 5 to 10 minutes.
o To clean the burners carefully follow these steps while standing as far from the grill as possible for safety purposes.
§ With the grill on & the burners ignited spray the non-working burner or both burners with a grill grate cleaner (Weber Grill grate cleaner or Goo Gone grill grate cleaner). This will cause a flame that will get larger and will burn the cleaner off as well as the grease. As this burns off the flame will get smaller, spray again.
§ You can try this step multiple times before the burner will start lighting successfully. Once it lights leave it on for about 20 minutes to ensure that everything has burned off.

One of the Burner is Not Lighting-
· If the burner has a white appearance or lighter color to it, doesn’t mean that it’s not lighting. It can appear lighter due to the sunlight.
· Make sure there's no gas leak. Perform a leak test. To determine if there is a leak at the hose connection by spraying soapy water on the hose connection & turn on the gas slowly. If it bubbles then there is a leak, try tightening it just a hair more until the bubbles stop.

· While holding down the gas knob turn it directly to the flame position press the igniter button. You should hear clicking/ticking sound. Look to see if both sparkers inside the grill on the left & right are sparking. Is the igniter under the burner that is not lighting sparking?

Grill Makes Sputtering or Popping Noises
· Check the burners for any possible cracks. There could be a hairline crack in the one of the burners causing the gas to escape causing it to back flash.

· Make sure the regulator is functioning properly
o The regulator on the hose can become faulty & restrict flow. Reset it by disconnecting and reconnecting it.
· Make sure there's no gas leak. Perform a leak test. To determine if there is a leak at the hose connection by spraying soapy water on the hose connection & turn on the gas slowly. If it bubbles then there is a leak, try tightening it just a hair more until the bubbles stop.

Additional Notes
· If the burner has a blue appearance for over 5 minutes, this may indicate that moisture has affected the burner. Allow the unit to run for 15-20 minutes to dry out.
· If you are having issues with the gas knob sticking or hanging up you can pull the red knob directly up and off. There are two Allen head screws on the black knob base, loosen those a little but NOT all the way out. Then you can adjust the valve stem sticking out and re-center it. Then tighten down the 2 Allen screws. They should realign they stem and resolve the issue.
· Drip trays should not warp but it is possible if it is exposed to direct heat for a long period of time when pulling out the grill grate. In order to avoid this, it is best to have the grill grate above the drip tray drawer at all times. If you pull out the grill grate, pull out the drip tray drawer right away. The grill grate helps shield the drip tray from the direct heat.
