Cleaning Guidelines
Proper maintenance of your Schwank Grill ensures optimal performance and longevity.
Interior Cleaning
Do not touch the burners, igniters, or wires. Simply turn on the grill and let the burners run for 5–10 minutes to burn off any grease build-up.
Grill Grate Cleaning
Use grill grate cleaner along with a stainless steel scrubber to remove grease and food residue. All internal parts are dishwasher-safe.

Troubleshooting
Having issues with your Schwank Grill? Use this guide to diagnose and resolve common problems quickly.
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Burners do not ignite | Valve not open. Hose bent or leaking. No spark. Propane empty. | Open propane valve fully. Check hose routing. Hold knob in ON when pressing igniter. Replace battery. Refill tank. |
| Tiles appear white not orange | Sunlight affecting appearance — unit is operating correctly. | Wait 5 minutes for burners to heat up and continue normal usage. |
| Tiles remain blue over 5 min | Rain or water has affected the burner. | Allow unit to run 15–20 minutes and continue usage. |
| Burner extinguishes mid-cook | Food touched safety shut-off sensor. Propane empty. | Turn off, lower grate, wait 2–3 min, re-ignite. Refill tank if needed. |
| Drawer or grate is stuck | Unit fired up without all components inserted. | Turn off and allow to cool completely before removing. |
